For detecting human fever: This infrared thermometer,made in Germany, can be used to scan the forehead(for mass checking) and ear of a person. The user should stand at least 1 m away from the person (to be screened) to prevent the user from getting infected with the virus. This unit is currently being used by Hong Kong and China Government for mass fever level checking (as shown in the photo above).This unit is 2 times more accurate than the thermal imaging system and 3 times more accurate than the conventional infrared thermometer.
Infrared Thermometer with Switchable Optics
This pyrometer offers what few others in the market can –
switchable optics. With just a flip of a switch, you can shift
between close focus and long distance temperature
measurements with accuracy and ease. Use the TST0126 to
measure points as close as ¼ inch, then simply slide switch
for measurements across the room. Whether close up or at
a long distance, the TST0126 gives you exact readings in
seconds plus it can also log the data points for analysis.

For the first time, surface temperatures with smallest diameters can be measured accurately at short and long distances. The switchable optics for far-field and close focus measurement make this possible. Measurements in the far-field are made with an optical resolution of 75:1. Surface temperatures can thus be measured accurately even at greater distances from the object to be measured. At a distance of 1.2 metres from the object, the measurement point diameter is only 16 mm. A cross laser marks the measurement point exactly. For measurements at a small distance from the object to be measured, the close focus optics provide a measurement point diameter of only 1 mm at a distance of 70 mm! Two laser points mark the measurement point.
